STUDIO SCHEDULE

Classes are held all year long except for the month of August. Classes resume the first Tuesday after Labor Day - September 6th.

RECITAL

• Our annual recital will be Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
• Please note that this is not your typical recital. It is a real show and attendees are urged to stay for the entire performance.
• We sell reserved seating at The Folly Theater so that you can plan your favorite spot and get enough tickets to keep your family and friends all together
• Tickets are available at the door at the theater, and they are on sale at the studio about two weeks prior to the recital.

WALDO FALL FESTIVAL AND TAP-A-THON

September 24, 2011 - The Betty Tillotson Studio of Dance leads the Tap-a-thon at the Waldo Fall Festival. The first 15 participants to sign up will receive a commemorative T-shirt.

COMPETITION

The Betty Tillotson Studio of Dance participates in one competition per year. This year our favorite competition, I Love Dance, is coming to Kansas City. The date is April 15, 2012 at the Hyatt in downtown KCMO.

SPAGHETTI DINNER

Our annual spaghetti dinner and performance will be  April TBD, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Broadway United Methodist Church at 74th & Wornall in KCMO. This is always a fun time with great food. All you-can-eat spaghetti, meatballs/meat sauce, salad, bread, tea, lemonade, coffee, and great desserts. There is an actual stage in the church hall, so it is quite nice for our performance.  Prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12. DANCE PHOTOS

Tuesday and Wednesday, May 8th and 9th at VanDeusen Photography near the studio.  Children will dress at the studio and be escorted with their group to the photo studio. This will keep the evenings a lot more organized. Also, parents will not be allowed to come into the photo studio where the portraits are being taken. It is a small room and distracting for both the dancers and photographic artists. Do not bring cameras and cell phone cameras into the photo studio. 

NATIONAL TAP DANCE DAY

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND BREAK

The studio is closed from May 26th through May 28th, 2012. Classes resume on Tuesday, May 29th.

RECITAL DVD

Taking orders from May 19th to June 14th.

FEES BEFORE RECITAL

Costume fees and tuition must be paid before participation in the recital. PLEASE check your records and/or check book register. Thanks!

RECITAL TICKETS

On sale at the studio on:
- Saturday, June 2nd and June 9th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
- Monday June 4th & 11th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 6th and 13th from 4 pm until 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are reserved and are $1 less at the studio. Please try to follow this schedule so that teachers aren't having to interrupt classes with ticket sales.

RECITAL DRESS REHEARSAL

The recital dress rehearsal is Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City, Missouri beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting until approximately noon.

4th of JULY BREAK

The studio is closed from July 2nd through July 6th. Classes are held throughout the rest of July, through the 28th.
